About us

Alconbury Weald Enterprise Campus is a government-backed Enterprise Zone, delivered in strong partnership between Urban&Civic, Huntingdonshire District Council, Cambridgeshire County Council and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.

Before its transformation into a dynamic residential and business community, Alconbury Weald played a central role in military operations across Europe for over 70 years.

During its time as an operational airbase (1938 to 1995), RAF Alconbury came under the control of both the British and American Air Forces. The legacy of that time – from modern architecture echoing the site’s listed buildings, to former taxiways transformed into linear parks – reveal a complex and fascinating history that is reflected in the new development.
